A review on Enchanted Mini Layering Set

I became aware of Enchanted through the forum which I frequent. It all looked lovely so I decided to treat myself and do an order. I had previously tried only one Enchanted product and that was a Cherry Bakewell sugar scrub. Cherry is one of my favourite fragrances and I thought it was really good. When I decided to make an order I had a think about which product to buy in this fragrance. I then found this, the Mini Layering Set, and was sold!

These sets are half size tubs (100g) of Beautiful Body Cream, Foaming Sugar Scrub and Whipped Bodywash. The idea is that you use the products one after each other and layer the scent. At the time on the Enchanted website (http://www.enchantedbath.co.uk/) they were offering a free roll on perfume with each order over a certain amount so I also got a roll on perfume in Cherry Bakewell which I use to layer the scent even more. The sets are £13.50 which is cheap considering a full scrub or bodywash will cost £7.50 each and a full body cream is £10.

I use the Foaming Sugar Scrub first to cleanse and to get rid of dead skin. These are my second favourite product from Enchanted and a little goes a long way. To use you simply wet the skin and then scoop a small amount of sugar scrub out of the tub and rub it on. This exfoliates and also produces a nice lather which moisturises your skin.

Second I use the Whipped Bodywash which is my favourite product from Enchanted. I use these to shave with by wetting the skin and then scooping a small amount out of the tub and rubbing it on until a thick lather is produced. The body wash is a thick cream in a jar and is enriched with jojoba oil which is good for moisturising the skin. My legs are left soft, moisturised and smooth.

After I get out of the bath/shower I dry myself and then use the Beautiful Body Cream. I find this is the perfect consistency. It is not too thin like some lotions are but it is not as thick as the Whipped Bodywash. It sinks into the skin really easily and leaves it feeling lovely and soft, especially after using the first two products!

Each of the products are highly scented with Cherry Bakewell (in my case but you can choose any fragrance out of the fragrance list on the website) which is a gorgeous, sweet cherry and almond smell. After I have used my layering set I feel soft, gorgeous and nice smelling. The only problem I found was with the scrub and bodywash. When you use these you need to dry your hands before scooping any out otherwise they go sticky (scrub) or hard (cream). They are still useable if they have gotten wet but they are not as good a quality. However, now that I know this it is easy to keep them dry!

Writing

I have decided that I am going to try and get back into the habit of writing. I often have crazy dreams which give me ideas for my writing and then forget to note them down. I had such a dream last night and remembered to write it down! So now I am determined to make something come of it. I have dreamed of being an author since I was a little girl and although I know that it is an unlikely dream, it doesn't mean that I can't try! I usually write things aimed at children/teenagers and I think this one would be aimed at older teenagers (i.e. the twilight audience!). So I'm off now to do some writing.

In other news I bought a Wreck This Journal. It is an awesome book and I implore you to buy it. You can see the photos of what I have done so far here and you can buy your own (if you want) here.

Twilight Ballistic (Lush)

http://lush.co.uk/products/bath/bath-ballistics/twilight_1413.html

I have just had a fabulous bath with one of the new lush ballistics - twilight. As I write this I am sat here delicately sparkly but not excessively so (Fairy Jasmine I am looking at you!) and smelling of lavender. This gorgeous ballistic is lavender scented and contains Ovaltine which both get you all nice and relaxed. There's a surprise in the middle (but I'm not going to ruin it!) and it leaves the bathwater a gorgeous colour with little bits of glitter. It also has shavings of bubble bar inside so instead of just fizzing, it sort of froths. It took about half an hour to completely disappear and it looked beautiful in the water.

I am now totally relaxed, which is what I needed after that exam! I am going to watch something (possibly Glee!) and wait to drift off to sleep. It probably wont take long as I have just applied Dreamtime Temple Balm (http://lush.co.uk/products/skincare/face/temple-balm/dreamtime_temple_balm_216.html) as well!

While I am stuck inside revising...

My cat has been enjoying the back yard and the sunshine. He is now sprawled out on the carpet as he has tired himself out. He is nearly 5 years old but has never been further than the back yard because he's a wuss! Anyway I thought I'd share some photos I took of him before.

Wicca's scruffy fur from rolling around!

In other news...

I forgot to tell you that the line up for this years Mathew Street Festival is online! You can find the lineups for all of the different stages here. For those of you that have never been to the festival, it is a free festival in Liverpool that runs every year on August bank holiday (this year it's on the 29th and 30th). There are lots and lots of Beatles tribute bands but also loads of other tribute bands as well as some proper ones! I once saw The Stranglers!

This year I am excited for - Definitely Mightbe (Oasis), Blurb (Blur?), The Bowie Experience (David Bowie), Kazabian (Kasabian), Kins of Leon (Kings of Leon), The Fillers (The Killers), Viva La Coldplay (Coldplay), Antarctic Monkeys (Arctic Monkeys), Too Rex (T Rex), Kaiserthiefs (Kaiser Chiefs) and Elevation (U2) as well as the original bands stage.

I've seen Definitely Mightbe, Kins of Leon, The Fillers, Antarctic Monkeys, Kaiser Thiefs and Elevation before and they are all fab. I cant wait!

Sorry Message!

I'm sorry I've not been updating for the past few days but I have been busy revising for the exams that I have to do this week due to being ill when they first happened. I've also been ill with a cold. I get ill way to often.. I think I have a pretty rubbish immune system! Anyway everything shall be back to normal at the end of the week and I can finally enjoy summer. Summer seems to have arrived in Liverpool now... I hope it doesn't change its mind once I'm actually able to enjoy it!

Blueberry Muffins

Yesterday I made these:

Awesome Blueberry Muffins
They were amazingly yummy. I got the recipe from here but used vegan margarine instead of butter and soya milk instead of ordinary milk. I also added some mixed spice to give them a bit more flavour.

I highly recommend them! They're more cakey muffins than breakfasty muffins (if that makes sense) so they're not very filling but this only means you get to eat more! I think next time I will use wholemeal flour as I think that would make them even nicer.
